What this directory is for
Updated 2026-10-12
3D Scene Creator helps artists, game teams and designers identify a starting point for a 3D workflow. A world generator, a mesh generator and a capture app solve different problems, even when all three advertise AI.
The directory groups products by their documented task. Papers are kept in a research section, and discontinued or unconfirmed services in historical references. Check the linked documentation for access, file formats and usage terms before bringing an output into your project.
CUVISS maintains this directory and develops production software. That relationship is disclosed; editorial inclusion cannot be purchased.
How the directory is curated
- Task before hype. Categories describe the documented workflow, rather than a ranking or promise of output quality.
- Evidence with a date. Capability notes retain source links and retrieval dates. A checked product page does not certify its outputs for your project.
- Editorial access stays free. Payment cannot secure a tool entry or change its wording. Any purchased showcase is disclosed outside the editorial directory.
- Research is identified. A paper describes a method, not necessarily a hosted product. Research and historical records are grouped separately from creation tools.
- Updates start with evidence. Use the card correction link for an outdated claim, or submit an official URL for a missing tool. We review the source before changing the entry.
- Check the handoff. Before adopting a tool, check its documented output type, engine import path, access requirements and license. A generated preview alone does not show that it fits your workflow.
